Equest’s Mission

To enhance the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs by partnering with horses to bring hope and healing through equine assisted activities and therapies. Equest was the first organization in Texas to explore therapeutic horsemanship as a way to help people with various needs enjoy their lives to the fullest.

History

Equest was founded in 1981 and has always striven to serve anyone, no matter their age or background. It had previously based its operations in Wylie, Texas since 1988 until in 2015, Equest moved to South Dallas at the Texas Horse Park.

Other Information

In 2017, Equest upgraded its facility by consolidating to another facility of about 6,000 square feet; this helped to maximize Equest’s aid to people with diverse needs through therapeutic horsemanship.
