Workshop for North Texas Semiconductor Workforce Development

December 7, 2022
The University of Texas at Dallas

In response to the rapidly and ever-growing demand for microelectronics and related systems in North Texas, the University of Texas at Dallas has created a semiconductor workforce development task force within the newly formed North Texas Semiconductor Institute (NTxSI).  We hosted a one-day workshop on Wednesday, December 7 at the University of Texas at Dallas. The Workshop for North Texas Semiconductor Workforce Development included leaders from government, industry, and academia. This workforce development (WFD) workshop has helped us understand future North Texas workforce needs, review examples of WFD approaches throughout Texas and the nation and discuss how we can build the workforce in North Texas and beyond.
