EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) was founded in 1995 at Purdue University, for the purpose of allowing college students to apply their technical knowledge, gain experience, and give back to the community.
At the University of Texas at Dallas, EPICS assists local nonprofits in finding innovative solutions to their problems. From making transportation and art more accessible to the elderly and the disabled, to developing fun tools for local boys and girls clubs, EPICS serves the community in a wide variety of ways.
