Vice President

The Student Affairs Listening Tour is underway, and meetings with Athletics and University Housing have already taken place. The Listening Tour is an opportunity for me to hear thoughts, concerns and ideas from staff in the division, and for me to share about what’s on the horizon for Student Affairs and the university. I look forward to meeting with you in the coming weeks and into early January.

October 3: Stop the Bleed Training, presented by Sergeant Somer Fernandez, UTD Police, 10:30-11:30 a.m., SSA 12.471.
October 6: Intercultural Competencies begins (three-part series), 10-11:30 a.m., Galaxy Room A. The other two sessions are October 20, 10-11:30 a.m. SSA 12.471, and November 10, 10-11:30 a.m., SSA 12.471. Registration is required. Sessions are sequential and are scheduled to be repeated in spring 2024, providing flexibility to complete the series within the academic year. Participants must attend all three sessions to receive a certificate of completion.

Health Center

Free flu vaccines are available to currently enrolled students by appointment only while supplies last. Clinics will be held in the Student Union Galaxy Rooms and students must schedule an appointment via the Health Center Patient Portal. Clinics are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on October 3 and October 9; 9-11:30 a.m. on October 25; and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on October 26.

Chalk art registration for student organizations and individual students is open until all spots are filled. Prizes (up to $200 per category) will be awarded in five categories: Most Spirited/Group, Most Spirited/Individual, People’s Choice, Most Creative and Best Use of Color.
