The Bursar’s Office is responsible for the assessment and collection of tuition and fees and departmental deposits for the university.

The mission of the Bursar at the University of Texas at Dallas is to handle all financial transactions involving students, faculty and staff as efficiently and accurately as possible, while always providing our customers with the highest level of respectful and excellent customer service.

The Bursar Office is not open for in person transactions. Please take advantage of our online services to facilitate making payment or visit our webpages to obtain information. If you are unable to find the information you are seeking, we are certainly available for assistance by emailing bursar@utdallas.edu or calling us at 972-883-2612.

Spring 2023 Payment Deadlines:

  • Thursday, December 22, 2022 – this deadline applies to all continuing students enrolled in the regular and 1st 8-week sessions by December 16, 2022 and are not identified as a financial aid or scholarship recipient.  This deadline excludes new incoming students for the spring 2023 term.
  • Thursday, January 12, 2023 – this deadline applies to all students enrolled in the regular and 1st 8-week sessions beginning December 17, 2022 and are not identified as a financial aid or scholarship recipient. This does apply to new incoming students for the spring 2023 term.
  • Thursday, January 26, 2023 – this deadline applies to all students identified as a financial aid or scholarship recipient.   This extension of time is only to allow more time for the aid or scholarships to be posted and has no bearing on the refund calendar for dropping/withdrawing from classes.
  • Thursday, January 26, 2023 – All housing, meal plan and insurance charges are due in full, or an installment plan must be in effect.

Please make payment by the applicable deadlines above or set up a payment plan to avoid late fee assessment or possible cancellation of classes.

Tuition Insurance

Want to protect your investment in your education? UT Dallas offers our students the option to purchase tuition insurance through GradGuard. The deadline to enroll is Monday, January 16, 2023.

RA / TA / GA Health Insurance

Beginning with the fall 2022 term, students who have been hired as an RA/TA/GA will automatically be enrolled into the annual Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP) and have it paid by the university. Departmental deposit procedures are changing, and the Bursar Office will not accept any deposits after 12/15/2022. Please either email us at bursar@utdallas.edu or call us at 972-883-2612 to confirm we are on campus to accept a departmental deposit.
