UT Dallas staff members won eight gold medals in the 2008 Richardson Corporate Challenge games, which ended last week.
The city of Richardson organizes the annual event, which pits local businesses against one another in friendly competition.
Participants helped raise $125,000 for Special Olympics.
UT Dallas competed against such businesses as BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, FedEx/Kinkos, Fossil, Hilton and Texas Instruments.
The challenge, held over a two-month period, included such sports as basketball, flag football and a 5K run, as well as badminton, billiards, bass fishing and poker.
The events concluded with a closing ceremony at the Richardson Civic Center.
