Wellness Center For Older Adults
Background
The mission of the Wellness Center for Older Adults is rooted in aiding the elder citizens of their community to help them achieve better physical and mental well-being. They strive to provide preventative healthcare, mental health aid, counseling, and general medical support to adults 55 years of age or older. The main tasks undertaken by the Center are transportation of medical equipment and providing rides to the seniors.
Project Description
The project involves creating a system to facilitate communication between WCOA staff and volunteers to create, approve and track hours for volunteer rides. The system will consist of two main modes or views, the administrator, and the volunteer view. The administrator view would have the ability to create, edit, and delete needed rides and to see the information and hours for volunteer drivers. The volunteer driver mode of the web app would have the ability to view needed ride listings, the ability to sign up for rides and the ability to view their own approved rides as well as past rides and hours. We would also make our app salesforce compatible, as this is something our project partner would like to be available.
