Background
Founded in 2010, Unlocking Doors is a nonprofit organization committed to reducing recidivism rates by providing clients the opportunity to reenter society. Unlocking Doors provides its clients with a support system which serves to educate and empower, in an effort to create a safer, more productive society. The success of Unlocking Doors lies in its unique approach to reintroduce its clients to society via its extensive connections in the community.
Project Description
The core of Unlocking Doors depends on being able to match its clients with the proper resources. As such, it is crucial to be able to navigate the various databases effectively to better serve every client. Currently, the contacts are hosted in various locations, making it difficult to synchronize every modification. The organization has identified this as a problem and hopes that addressing the issue will only improve operations and client success rates. Unlocking Doors has asked the team at UT Dallas to help design an app which will be more effective in managing its extensive network of ambassadors and partners which becomes more important as the organization continues to expand its reach.
This app will serve as a centralized location for all contacts and allow modular grouping based on user-specified categories to optimize searches and utilize the expanding connections of Unlocking Doors.
