Mailing
When you request a document from the ISSO, you will receive an email confirmation when it is ready. The email will include detailed instructions on how to receive your document. Some emails may refer you to this page, for general information about express mail and regular mailing options.
Physical documents are only issued for specific requests, where a government agency requires the paper document. After your request is processed, you will receive an email confirmation with information about how to receive your documents. If your documents are eligible for shipping, the email will include a link to request mailing. The link will direct you to an iComet eForm to submit your mailing request.
Express Mailing
You must complete two steps to request express mail.
- Place your order with eShip Global, using the instructions below.
- Notify the ISSO of your mailing request by completing the required eForm in iComet. The ISSO will send you a link to the required form in the approval email for your request.
If you choose express shipping and follow the instructions below, your credit card will be charged upon requesting the service.
You will need your UT Dallas ID, email address, phone number, mailing address and a valid credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover cards only.)
- Access the secure website https://study.eshipglobal.com.
- Create an account.
- Select The University of Texas at Dallas as your school.
- Enter your mailing address.
- In the Reference/Comments field you must specify what document you are requesting to be mailed (For example, Initial I-20, USCIS Mail, Reprinted I-20, etc.).
- Review your address and payment information. Errors in the information submitted will delay the shipping of your I-20 or DS-2019.
- Place your order.
If you do not complete BOTH the required iComet eForm and the eShip Global order, your request will not be processed.
If you have questions about how to use eShip Global, please email student.support@eshipglobal.com.
Regular Mailing
The ISSO can mail documents issued by our office through regular U.S. Postal Service mailing at no cost to you. There is no tracking number for mail sent by regular mail.
Mailing times vary: If you are outside of the U.S., your packet may take up to 2 – 4 weeks to reach you. If you are in the U.S., it may take up to 5 business days to reach you.
Note: The ISSO will not send out Regular or Express Mail on days that the office is closed for student services. This includes university holidays, as well as office closures due to staff trainings and meetings.
